About Us

I'm Abbie, the founder of LoveScience.

I started teaching secondary science in 2002 and always had a vague idea that I would like do more work with primary schools, to give primary-aged children the chance to use real equipment, get messy, ask questions and discover how brilliant science can be. In 2013, the stars aligned and I had the opportunity to start running a few holiday clubs and LoveScience was born.

What started as a small business alongside teaching grew quickly. I left teaching in 2016, launched Mini Boffins in 2018 and began franchising in 2019.

Today, our team of franchisees brings hands-on science to thousands of children across the UK through schools, nurseries, clubs, parties and community events every year.

The business has grown, but our philosophy hasn't changed:
